Just the reply I expected. Flown countless times with my kids, never any problems that were bad enough to affect others.
Like anything else regarding children, it just takes a little planning and maybe research.
Of course, that's asking too much of a lot of so-called parents. Better for them to be lazy and let your kids and everybody else be miserable.
Besides, mom probably is very experienced at toning her child's cries out.
Better to keep track of what other passengers are doing.
Maybe get lucky and spot the makings of a lawsuit prowling around.
It's funny that people who are the most misunderstanding of small children are those who proclaim to have such wonderfully perfect kids.
It is actually quite natural (as in of nature) for adults to want to protect the young, even if it's not their young.
No. I don't get why people seem to think that there needed to be a brawl on the plane.
Feel free to explain that to me.
As far as I can tell, the man slapped the baby and there was no further incident. No more harm was done to the child or any other passenger on the plane.
If there had been a brawl, then the potential exists for both the baby and anyone else on the plane to have been injured.
If I had a child, it would take a lot of restraint for me to not go ape**** on a guy who just hit my kid, especially if he was just a baby. Mostly because committing assault on an airplane can get you in a lot more hot water than, say, on the street.
I'd just make sure the POS gets arrested. Now, if it were just in the middle of the street, you can bet that POS wouldn't be leaving without a broken nose.
Why should others have to suffer because of your narcissitic ideology.
It's not narcissistic ideology. It's me, paying for plane tickets, for a ride somewhere. Just like all the other passengers.
What's more narcissistic?: Taking a plane ride with your family or expecting others not to take a plane ride because you might be disturbed by a crying child? I know my answer.
What would starting a brawl on the plane have accomplished.
No further harm came to the child without a brawl, starting a brawl would only have endangered the child and other innocent passengers.
