Americans have a p*ss poor record of saving. We are a consumer nation, we are a nation of spenders.
You don't accumulate wealth by shopping at Walmart every weekend.

I always hear about it but never heard a reason why it is bad?

Bill Gates and Warren Buffet being wealthy aint hurt me one bit. Aint hurt anyone else either.
You don't know why a smaller and smaller percentage of the population holding more and more of the wealth is a bad idea for a functioning society?

LOL conservatives are the biggest con artists around. You know exactly why it is a bad idea for a society to concentrate wealth with an ever smaller percent of the population. If you don't, I can't help you to understand.

An excellent example of why the gap will continue to grow. If you fail to admit the problem you can't address it.

Blah, blah, blah, that has nothing to do with the growing wealth gap. Why don't you look up why the wealth gap is increasing? Please deal with reality. Stop making stuff up.

So what?

I hope that the owners of my business earn 1,000,000 x what I earn. The business will continue to grow, as will my opportunities.

If they hoard their dough and the business closes, more power to them. I'll get mine elsewhere.

Lefties take the difference between a newly minted "legal" immigrant's income vs. the CEO of Bank of America and scream "that's not fair!".

Yes, my post is an example of why..... just nonsense. Why don't you address the wealth gap? Oh yeah because you don't care, which is fine, but why lie.

The wealth gap increasing is a long term problem. If you begin with just 5 years ago, you aren't serious.

We also have a beauty gap.

We also have an athletic ability gap.

We also have an intelligence gap.

I guess we should scar the faces of beautiful people, just to even things up.

We should hobble the swift to even things up.

We should lobotomize the brilliant to even things up.

Stop thinking like a child.

I rest easy knowing that despite the way they act sometimes people are perfectly capable at the end of the day to understand what I said and it's not what you claim.

That's what I thought. You don't have an answer.

I'm not a conservative either.

But I'm not a smart liberal either.

I want one liberal to explain how Bill Gates and Warren Buffet and Steve Jobs and Ted Turner making billions of dollars has hurt me? It's beyond my comphrehension. I'm just a simple man from small-town Ohio. Not an intelligent, worldly liberal.

Shouldn't be too difficult for a smart liberal on C-D to explain it to me?

In their lifetimes or now? I haven't seen all of their positions but Buffet sure has helped himself to the billions Ben and Timmy have shoveled into the markets.

I do not know your situation exactly but you are now on the hook for far more debt because of that.
