I have my issues with Rand Paul (how can you be a libertarian and against gay marriage?), but totalling supporting him with this. Obama has just taken everything Bush enacted…and made it even worse.

Of course, it may violate Posse Comitatus.
I disagree. The way that Obama & the CIA have used drones abroad leaves me no confidence that they'll keep to their word, or that they won't fudge their definition of "extraordinary." They already reclassified any male over 16 in Pakistani/Afghan combat zone as an enemy combatant or militant.

As much as I hate to admit it, I could see Obama using drones in a situation like Waco, TX.

If Obama doesn't reign in his trigger finger, history's going to have him down as one of the most egregious killer of innocents in the history of the 1st World.

I wish Rand would name names. He touched on the drone lobbyists, but stopped short. I want to know who is being bought out.

The way that they've been using drones overseas, is that they've been using them (or other military attacks) in situations where they've spotted a terrorist camp/figure, and where they are entirely unable to capture them alive, or where they are invited to attack by local governments. Since this situation simply will not arise within the US (what part of the US is inaccessible to law enforcement agents?), it's a non-issue.

It was the left that caused Obama to not nominate him in the first place.

I'm not the biggest fan of Rand and some of his whack-job tactics/conspiracies ("To Turkey?!"), but this is a legitimate issue, and since 9/11 and the Patriot Act, too much Big Brother business has been done to supposedly keep us safe, and I'm glad someone is taking a stand (whether D or R).
