It could start with drones, then the " need " to use other devices would be declared, and at that point, it's far too late for your rights. Look at history. Those who do not know or understand the evil minds of evil leaders, are bound to fall to the same type of humans rights violations .

As I said, I'm not complaining about the deaths due to drone strikes, I made that clear. If we're going to fight our enemies, I support doing so in a way that minimizes the risk to our military men. Which drones certainly do.

The hyprocasy is on the part of those that get their panties in a bunch about waterboarding, but voice no opposition to drone strikes.
By those standards, being that a declaration of war was never made against Iraq it would seem they'd have an equal right to torture any captured Americans, eh? After all, how can their be prisoners of war when there is no official war?

The problem is the country wasn't designed to function the way it does. Even as they wrote the constitution the founders of the country warned that it wouldn't work unless people actually lived by it and enforced it.

The idea of representative government is that the representatives are held accountable by the people for their actions. But that is no longer happening. People are now cheerleading for the politician whose slogans they like the best no matter what that politician actually does in office.

So while you may be right in what you say, I don't think that's the way the situation is supposed to be. The people are supposed to hold politicians accountable, they just aren't doing it.

Since I am taking my lunch break from work (work! What a strange concept to many of you!) I shall quickly provide an answer:

Democratic Ron Wyden of Oregon came out in full support of Senator Paul's filibuster concerning the Administrations Drone policy.

The "Code Pink" people who disrupted the Brennen hearing, protesting the Obama's Administration use of drones were certainly 'liberal'.

Note that Senator Feinstein cleared the room of these nasty liberals.

Remember the protestors in Chicago during the Democratic convention? They struck me as pretty liberal.

Each of these articles discusses opposition to Obama's drone program by liberals and Democrats. And by the way, these are just as valid as your half-assed casual commentaries by conservatives. There isn't any "official" liberal spokesperson, any more than there is an "official" conservative spokesperson. But good try at setting an impossible standard. I'll remember to return the favor.

Yep and they also claim getting bin Laden as Obama's accomplishment, while only being able to get him via information gathered by means they protest against and gathered by an administration they protested against.

You can bash the other party for years of research on something, but if that research produces a discovery while you're in office then you claim credit for the discovery.

Thank you...this thread has basically come down to:

blahblahblahblah...liberals...blahblahblahblah

Jesus, people, do any of you do your homework before posting crap like this?

DC did, and hopefully this thread will die the miserable, painful death it deserves.

Yeah, it's bad enough these RW traitors try to trash our economy to bring down the president... now they're even defending terrorists with the same goals! Heck, if Bin Laden had been killed by a drone instead of a Navy Seal team, they'd probably be defending him too!!

Not surprising when we see so many who revere Reagan, who invaded Grenada without seeking Congressional approval, willing to vilify Obama if he dare fart without seeking an OK from Congress.
