A great video that describes how throughout history, a blueprint to destroy democratic societies has culminated over the course of history. A quick reminder of where our Republic started, where it is today, and the threats pressing down on it.

You know that after watching this it has dawned upon me. The people who can remember what took place during WWII are now far enough removed from the current generation that these events are left out today. If ever in contemporary times do we need the advice and wisdom of our elders it is now.

When Naomi Wolf was speaking about the elderly holocaust survivor telling her that this administration and current events reminded and shared close parallels to the early rise of Nazi Germany, it was rather chilling.

I wonder if I am famous enough to make the no fly list yet since it now contains over 775,000 names

I am not old enough to remember WWII, but living in Holland and having many much older friends, acquaintances and colleagues, really helped put the war in perspective. Two of these friends were in the Dutch underground; my ears burned with the stories they told. And I have no doubt that what we are seeing is what my family saw in Frankfurt, 1930s. And friends saw and experienced in Berlin. Fortunately 90% of those I knew survived the Reich but 12m didn't.

Ms. Wolf used a lot of words to buy your attention for the purpose of making a valid point at the end of her lecture. That 'the Founders did not intend for us to delegate defense of liberty to a professional class...', and 'it is for ordinary individuals to take on the responsibility', to which I strongly agree.

Throughout the lecture I felt as though she was leading to an endorsement to impeach and prosecute 'Bush/Cheny', which apparently would satisfy that responsibility. If that's the case then she pulls up real short.

Should we 'ordinary citizens' want to start impeach and prosecuting, we will need a large quantity of legal pads because there'll be hundreds of elected officials to put on the 'prosecute him/her' list. LARGE.

The current elected/selected administration is on its way out the door. This is a prime opportunity to change directions by also cleaning out the Congressional apparatus that succors Ms. Wolf's described 'facist shift'. All of it. Scrape clean the walls of Congress.

Congress... 535 reasons to support term limits, with NO benefits and NO grandfathering tenure. Stop the 'facist shift' NOW ! ! !

Well I think it is likely too late to start impeachment proceedings when there is only lackluster support at best for such a measure in Congress, not to mention Peliosi saying that it is off the table.

However, there is no reason why everyday average people can not protest at the polls, turn their backs on the media endorsed candidates which both support a continuation of the Bush doctrine and return to a stricter view of our Constitution, regardless of which party.
