Judicial Watch Uncovers Documents Detailing Pelosi's Repeated Requests for Military Travel | Judicial Watch

Quote:
House Speaker Issued Unprecedented Demands for Military Aircraft and Wasted Taxpayer Resources with Last Minute Cancellations

Our fearless leaders are being shown for what they really are. Poor Obama he surrounded himself and got elected into and chose one of the most fumbling cabinets and congresses of all time. Next of course will be Reid and his attempt to destroy states rights.

If I saw her on board she'd get a nice one finger salute.

Well bigjon I couldn't get this link to open either. So, without reading the article I"ll just state that I have to take anything that JW comes up with on Ds (or some Rs for that matter) with a huge grain of salt. Maybe if most of their funding didn't come from the Sciafe (sp?) family and other conservative groups it'd be a bit more believeable.

So, I found the JW article, way too many "unnamed DOD sources", but granting that she does often "book a flight and then cancel" have they investigated how many times Denny ("leaving town in time to not answer questions about harboring a child molester") Hastert had plans change because of Congressional business?

The whole thing loses a bit of credibility with me when it repeats the TOTALLY DEBUNKED LIE from back in '07 that Pelosi was "requesting the 42 seat plane when Hastert had to make do with a 12 seater". It wasn't Pelosi that requested it, that would be the Sergeant At Arms (?) of the House in conjunction with the Secret Service. SAA is responsible for the Speaker's security. SS in case the statistically unlikely event of the P and VP dying and the Speaker being elevated.

It wasn't that the plane had 42 seats, it's rather that it HAS TO BE ABLE to make the flight non-stop. But you probably already knew all of this.

There we go again, a Pelosi supporter discrediting the source. Next comes the personal insult hurled my way in 3...2....1

Mr. god, could you speak to the recent trip to Italy that Madame Pelosi and several of her compatriots and their spouses and several aids made in the military converted 737 that cost $200,000 to get there, so I suppose that much to get back. I guess she just did that so she and her husband could get an audience with the Pope so the Pope could chew her out for her abortion stance.

Was that trip at all necessary? Do you know how far down into April we will have to go before they turn in an expense account application for hotels, meals and so forth? It will be late in the month of April. However, the CNN reporter that tried to find out what the trip cost was mad enough that I am sure he will go back to find out. She won't soon get off the hook for that trip.

Lets see now, she gets all those military planes to fly to California every weekend and comes back late Monday of the next week. Right?

Pelosi Made Repeated Requests for Military Aircraft, Documents Show - Presidential Politics | Political News - FOXNews.com (http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/03/10/study-pelosi-repeated-requests-military-aircraft/ - broken link)

Try this link.

Pelosi disgusts me to no end--How dare her demand ANYTHING from the Military, The Military is there to defend us from threats, not to shuttle her around. I think she should resign because of this disgrace...

This brings to mind the incident with Obama last month. He wasted over $500,000 of taxpayer money to fly Air Force one to Chicago so his Wife could eat at her favorite restaurant for Valentines day. Its yet another indication of the Liberals and thier entitlement mentality.
