Liberalism today has a lot in common with the Catholic church around the time of the reformation. Just as the church was purportedly all about saving souls, liberalism is purportedly all about saving the poor and downtrodden. Both invariably wound up somehow magically rich doing so. The Clintons now have not one but two mansions--the one in Chappaqua, and Hillary's dream home ('Whitehaven' (!)) in Georgetown, Wash DC. Now Chelsea's $10,000,000 pad makes 3. The area surrounding DC is generally now the richest region in the US.

No kidding? I've mentioned that twice already in this thread.

Of course it's not a big deal to someone who has no experience with uncorrupt governance.

Societies with high IQs don't tolerate their public servants families getting rich off their connections.

That's typical for low class nations, barbaric nations, low IQ societies.

We're just on a down hill run as a nation with citizens who think like you do. You just don't know any better....LOL

"pray tell"? The verse is about money corrupting people and turning them away from the spiritual to the material world. So Christians who are proclaiming God and the values in the Bible are not the ones the verse refers to when it talks about rich people having a more difficult time entering Heaven than a camel threading the eye of a needle. Those are the people who have managed to have wealth and still be faithful. So they have not "forgotten" the verse as you said. It is the people who put all their focus on material things and then decide they want to be Christian when a funeral comes up that the verse refers to. The more distracted you are with material things, the harder it is for you to be faithful. Trying to use the verse to call all wealthy Christians hypocrites is a misapplication of it.

The left has NO RESPECT for the little people.. they keep them down so they can keep them coming back to the voting booth to vote democrat..

Let's face it.. when I was poor I was a Republican because I didn't want any hand outs... to be a democrat today is to look sleazy and needy and want to get a hand out.

The rich democrats are the worst. They pretend to care about the poor but don't.. if they did, there wouldn't be so many poor today. Obama is killing the middle class and making them poor by frivolous spending... ever wonder why the poor live in disgusting poverty and the government is rich. Do you really think the political elite will suffer? Democrats and Republicans high in government will always have... look at Obama,, I don't see him cutting back on vacations or parties . No way. Obama himself is an elitist to the highest degree. YOu really think that democrats care for the poor? The poor are their meal ticket to power. They don't want to help them at all.

Really?

Was he joking when he said you should give someone the shirt off your back? Was he joking when he said you should feed the poor? Was he joking when he said that you should give up all your possessions and follow him?

Seems you've read a little less of the bible then you should.

Jesus said that all of his followers should throw away their earthly belongings, and follow him
He said that rich men can't get into heaven.

And here is the kicker, you're trying to add further meaning to jesuses words, yet when others do this showing that homosexuality wasn't completely rejected, just against temple priests, suddenly its word for word.

Hypocrisy at its finest

It's in the Bible; Supply Side Jesus said to hate the rich liberal, love the rich conservative.
