It hasn't been independantly confirmed, but Pakistan has reportedly arrested the murderer of reporter Daniel Pearl. I still remember it like it was yesterday:
Kind of ironic that Pakistan arrests and imprisons the doctor that helped apprehend Bin Laden in a matter of days (or at best a few weeks) but this POS is free for a decade. Guess we see where the priorities are with our "ally".

Not giving money to countries that hate us, are our enemies, or have government operations and societal belief systems that we consider barbaric seems obvious. Although it apparently isn't obvious to the walking suits in Washington.
That aside, we're broke. We should keep every conceivable dollar we can in this country. Don't give any countries money until we get our own house in order.

Agreed. If we can't afford to offer solders that have risked their lives for this country the benefits we promised them, we sure as hell can't afford to give away taxpayer money to every corrupt, 2-bit dictator-wannabe in the world.
A Pakistani court on Thursday ordered the immediate release of four men accused of orchestrating the 2002 kidnapping and murder of American journalist Daniel Pearl, including the main suspect earlier sentenced to death for masterminding the killing.
In April the same court - the Sindh High Court - commuted the death sentence of the main suspect, British-born Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh, and acquitted three others citing a lack of evidence against them.
Despite the decision, Pakistani authorities have kept the four in custody for the last eight months, citing reasons of law and order.
