So the guy just won $150 million after taxes and he indicates he's thinking of moving back to the DR or to Mexico. Nothing fishy about that....

There is a very good chance he isn't properly documented and that his wife is illegal also. Millions aren't.

Assuming he isn't - he now has the resources to invest in a business which essentially buys his documents. He'll be back, assuming he's illegal.

There is a greater chance that he came legally and is on expired paperwork and that his wife is illegal.

The least probable is that they are both legal.

Where does it say, anywhere, that he plans on moving back to the Dominican Republic? His family, with the exception of a couple of nieces, have all immigrated here. Do you have a link to back up what you're saying? Why would it be fishy to want to return back to the country you were born in for a visit if he's a US citizen, or even to live if he's here with a resident visa, or a green card? There ISN'T a good reason to believe that he's not properly documented. You're assuming that purely because he's Hispanic. He didn't need the lottery winnings to invest in a business, because he ALREADY OWNS ONE. Good lord....

$338M lottery winner feels 'pure joy,' uncertainty

Entrepreneurs don't have to learn the language, as Tom Sowell once observed. That's why the German elites in czarist Russia never learned Russian---nobody was working for Russians.

BTW....I didn't realize that speaking English was a requirement for winning the lottery.

I'm just glad it wasn't some welfare recipient.

Actually they are. I've done pretty well and certainly don't begrudge anyone from enjoying the trappings of success.

My comments were taken directly from mainstream news reports - including the holy grail of truth - msnbc.

Thanks for playing the race card game.
