This Lefty approves of the idea that nearly half of the gun sales are between individuals without government restrictions. I believe ownership of firearms by convicted violent felons and people with some types of mental problems should be illegal but after the fact not before.
the worse part, that this president and many before him, is how they use children to push and agenda. it is pathetic at a human to do such things, it is just as bad as people who use kids as human shields. these people are the scum.
The study being cited by Pres. Obama is just laughable all around. They random dialed 500 people to ask about gun purchases. I find it tough to believe that they got even a 50 percent response rate. If a stranger calls me and starts asking me about my gun purchases, no way am I going to give him the time of day. How do I know it's not a burglary looking to find out how many guns I have, wait till I'm not home, break in and take them?
Is this the "basic research" that the admin and left keep telling us is so vital to fund?
Even at the gun shows I used to go to, the rate of private sales was far lower than 40% for a lot of reasons. If I had to guess, I'd guess that the ratio was at least 90% sales by FFLs even at the gun show. The FFL is just going to have better selection. And if you want a new gun rather than used, the FFL is the only game in town.
Remember the Rex Nutting piece that was ridiculous on its face, claiming that Obama had the lowest rate of spending growth since Ike, or some such nonsense. It was debunked by fact checkers. That didn't stop the Obama admin from citiing the piece. This admin just has zero compunction about the use of phony, doctored numbers, do they?
