pathseeker: When(not if) these Boston Marathon explosions are linked to the middle east, we need to review our American History and take a page out of Franklin Roosevelt's book.

After Pearl Harbor was attacked, Roosevelt interned the Japanese and there was not another terror incident during his time in office.

Rather than use this incident as an excuse to infringe on the rights of everyone else with more Patriot Act restrictions, it is time we restore the rights we lost and in turn, target the real source of the problem here. Whether you want to admit it or not, there is a group that is determined to ruin this country and too many people seem willing to hand them the keys to do so.
I dont know what paths you are seeking, but the path to ridiculousness seems to have been achived.

Of course, putting innocent Japanese Americans into prison camps was (and is now recognized by most as) a shameful mistake that did no good for anyone. Why repeat that mistake?

You get the award for the dumbest thread on C-D. Congratulations, you win derision, ridicule and disdain.

Don't spend it all in one place.

Repeating a mistake and expecting different outcomes, is insane.
My grandmother was around then and she has nothing but praise for Roosevelt and everything he did. As an ordinary american, you didn't have to dea lwith the TSA when you flew and you didn't have countless gun laws that do nothing to stop the outlaws.

If taking away the rights of a trouble prone group restores mine, I'm all for it. The more rights they have, the fewer we seem to have. That needs to stop.

So, you're OK with innocent kids at marathons being killed without and recourse, huh?

Dumb, means you cannot speak.
They said a mouthful of hate and discrimination.
I call it ignorance.

Until they come for you.

Try actually thinking about what you wish for.

conservatives have been making this argument for years.

Here is conservative star Michelle Malkin who wrote a book dedicated to the idea. The title of the book was In defense of Internment. A lot of conservatives agreed with her.

You do realize that those Japanese were American citizens. Right?

If the bomber turns out to be white, would you be OK with all white men being put into internment camps?
What if it is linked to republicans? Or Democrats? Or blacks, Or _______?

Why is it ok to lock up people who have committed no crime simply because you don't like them?
