Donald Trump said that we have to build a wall between Mexico and the United States.

Quoting Donald Trump:

“People are pouring across our borders, which is horrible,” Trump said. “We have to build a wall. Who would — look, I build some of the greatest buildings in the world. Building a wall for me is easy. And it would be a wall. It would be a real wall. Not a wall that people walk over.”

[Like Trump, I would definitely build a truly secure wall, too. It's absurd that we have let millions and millions of illegal aliens simply cross over from Mexico into the United States without undergoing any background check or doing any vetting on them whatsoever.]

It'd probably reduce and slow down illegal immigration significantly. I don't think a wall is necessary. Just enforce e-verify, stop providing tax-payer services and benefits to illegals, reform birthright citizenship for illegals, etc. Then the illegals will self-deport and quit coming on their own.

At massive cost per mile....

Seriously, a wall is unworkable, and the idea is foolish. E-verify would work!

Agreed and BOTH sides of Germany hated the wall; I'm talking about the people, NOT the Commie "leaders" of the 1 place.

Of course both sides hated the wall. It was built to keep German people prisoners of Communists. this one would be to keep people out.

On top of this, I'd get rid of agricultural subsidies that favor politically connected corporations that employ illegal immigrants. Without the subsidies, Mexican farms, especially corn growing, would become profitable so people living there will be able to build their feature without invading into our lands.

USSR built the Berlin Wall to keep people from leaving the Soviet Union to freedom. A wall on our southern border would be to keep criminals out of our country. Come here legally or don't come at all.
