I think when you look at the actual voters for Democratic candidates, you see a much more diverse set of voters.
conservative voters are 90% white. Democratic voters are 60% white. This reflects a devastating lack of diversity at least at the national level for conservative voters.
So while claims of conservative bigotry, maybe unfair, the reality of the voters of both political parties is evident to anyone with eyes.
