No ‘faith’ in House debt prioritization bill
If you want something to pass the house, you need to propose the opposite. For example, if you want higher taxes, you need to propose lower taxes. If you want background checks, you need to propose removal of all checkes, even at dealers. The Congress will always do the opposite of what people propose, so the only way to get your will is to propose the opposite. It is like dealing with rebellious teen-agers.

That's because all registered voters don't vote. But the Republicans won the House and didn't even get a majority of voters who actually did vote.

You know, we would not be in this situation if the left (yes the dems) would have stuck to thier own bill they passed while they held the House and Senate...

Or have you lefties forgot about Pay as YOU GO, PAGO....

Lets revisit shall we.......

The Statutory Pay-As-You-Go Act of 2010: A Description | The White House

Quote:
The Act was introduced in the House of Representatives on June 17, 2009, by Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Maryland) and has been cosponsored by 169 of the 257 House Democrats.[1]
Just sayin....

Quote:
At her final press conference as House Speaker, Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said, "Deficit reduction has been a high priority for us. It is our mantra, pay-as-you-go."

You mispelled Bush\Clinton.

Guessing you have amnesia over whom repealed Glass-Steagall and signed NAFTA eh?

I won't because it's the same guy, different () at the end of the name.

Aren't you so glad that we've ended our wars?
Or is it kicking the wall-street influence out of the whitehouse that you are so happy about?
Ooooh I know! Mandatory purchase of FOR PROFIT health insurance, another win!
Well at least we cracked down on Bush's oil buddies?

LMFAO.....

A better question is, does anybody have any faith in the federal government?

They are so compromised and corrupt that most citizens have indeed completely lost faith.

Gee, surpise, surprise.

Women (some anyway)- I want to be able to kill my unborn child
Gays - I want to change "traditional marriage"
Latinos- my ethnic group should be above our immigration laws
Asians (haven't a clue)
Blacks (some anyway) I want my welfare check
and Whites (some anyway) bleeding heart liberals

The gimmee, gimmee mentality regardless of who it hurts vote Democrat because they will get what they want from them in exchange for their votes.

About the only thing positive you can say about the house is...they aren't as useless and incompetant as the senate. Not like that's saying a lot.
