Wrong, impeachment hearings are held in the House, not the Senate. Sentencing is held in the Senate

And found innocent--and as I recall a couple of Republicans ending up either resigning or being dumped at the next election because of their own cheating scandals.

Liar? All of them do that.

Default Yup, Repubs have short memories

Quote:
"Reagan," Vice President Dick Cheney famously declared in 2002, "proved deficits don't matter." Unless, that is, a Democrat is in the White House. After all, while Ronald Reagan tripled the national debt and George W. Bush doubled it again, each Republican was rewarded with a second term in office. But as the Gallup polling data show, concern over the federal deficit hasn't been this high since Democratic budget balancer Bill Clinton was in office. All of which suggest the Republicans' born-again disdain for deficits ranks among the greatest - and most successful - political double-standards in recent memory.
Reagan Proved Deficits Don't Matter* | Crooks and Liars

Quote:
As for the Republicans, it is difficult to listen to their doomsaying predictions without laughing. They want us to worry about the evils of deficit spending when they obviously don’t worry about that at all. Just yesterday, the House Republican leadership distributed what they called an alternative budget. Missing from that thin sheaf of papers was any attempt to estimate what their plan would cost and how much it would increase the deficit. Their ironic ignorance of history was illustrated by their single concrete proposal. They insist that we must cut the maximum tax rate from 36 percent to 25 percent – or the same as the top rate in 1929, on the eve of the Great Depression.

So now Clinton is a convicted felon? Nice little delusional fantasy world you live in. Is the GOP still relevant on this planet?

Democrats have no personal accountability, or responsibility, because they are too busy blaming everyone else for the problems we have faced for a very long time.

Welfare, food stamps and sorry to burst the bubble, still people are out of work. How long did we have a negative economy, thanks Obama.

Obama brought no unity, no Hope, and definitly bad change. About gosh damn time, we see some slight improvement.

He was ACQUITTED.

Google: Clinton's Acquittal.

Or, better yet read the article in The New York Times - "Clinton's Acquittal" - on Feb. 13, 1999. It's online.

Clinton served out his full presidency. He lived in the White House for 8 years.

Don't confuse him with Richard M. Nixon, who resigned in disgrace.

Resigning showed Nixon's honor.

Impeachment showed Clinton's arrogance.

Sure he was 'acquitted' of the highly subjective Articles of Impeachment, but he was forced to admit that he made misleading statements under oath(AKA perjury when non-powerful douchebags do it), had to pay a $90k fine and had his law license revoked.

So he slick-willy'ed his way out of indictment but that doesn't mean he didn't lie under oath to the public's face.
