Dude, she's from Corpus Christi. Hardly the 'ethnic hood'. Heavily Hispanic and blue collar, yes. Ghetto, no. She had a bachelor's degree under her belt before she even started acting.
I'm no fan of hers, but she's not uneducated or from the barrio.
