But only (black) people should be using the n. word, when a white person uses the n. word its just too insulting.
I feel really unsure about posting the above link, but "Sanford and Son" is one of my all time favorite tv shows.
I did not sleep last night, so perhaps I am not thinking clearly.
"The teacher, non-tenured junior high instructor Petrona Smith, 65, was fired from bilingual PS 211 in the Bronx in March 2012. Smith herself is black."
Sounds like they were looking for a reason to get rid of her. Maybe a different reaction if she was 35.
Hey, the *******s are using political correctness to keep people from using their first amendment right to speak out. So why not have a bit of back lash? Just look at this forum? You can't say any truth without getting censored. If you don't just love the left you risk getting banned or points. LOL.
It's clear that you would like to use the n. word in public.
In what places and in front of what people, would you like to use the n. word ??
First of all, "negro" is the Spanish word for black, which the teacher claims is the context. But even if she was using it as the English word, is that really so horrible? I knew "negro" was rather outdated, but had no idea is was so offensive as to result in a person being fired.
Political correctness is nuts .. and the left love it because they have no common sense and have crammed political correctness down the throats of all people .. negro simply means black..
My parents (in their 80s) still use the word "colored." They mean no disrespect, it's just what they grew up with. Sometimes I tried to light-heartedly correct them, by asking, "Which color? Purple?" But they're not gonna change at this point in their lives.
My mom is ignorant like that with asians. She calls them chinks and orientals. It bothers me and I tell her to call them Asians. Unlike other her;e I have compassion for other races feelings even thought they may not have the same for my own.

I'm guessing that the Irish people had alchohol forced on them. But if I were to say; 'Oh he'll be around because I'll be serving Vodka'. That would not be offensive to an Irishman. Yet 'fried chicken' was offensive to Tiger Woods. Go figure...

You all need to know what you're talking about before you speak on the culture and history of black people. Watermelon and Fried chicken isn't something blacks necessarily love. That stereotype derives from the fact that chickens were the only livestock slaves were allowed to raise. And the watermelon thing comes from minstrel shows.

Ignorance upon more ignorance. You have no right to tell us how we should feel about racial slurs being used; when the jews stay complaining about being offended about everything. Do you say the same thing to them??? Of course not.

I am directly telling (you) this, "do not use the n. word around me, unless you are black."
And I am also telling you, do not say anything insulting about jewish people, when the Holocaust is concerned.
I was ignorant for posting that link. But it does not change the fact, that I do not want KKK, Nazi, Adolf Hitler trash around me, or in my country.
The USA killed Adolf Hitler and took down Nazi Germany. And I will be damned, if I will let racist forum members, try to bring back the ways of the KKK and Nazi Germany in the American public.
I never understood why Negro was offensive. Yes it's not used to describe Blacks today but it was used as recently as the 2010 Census.
I mean are other outdated terms once used to refer to Blacks also offensive? Such as Afro-American?
You need to come to New Orleans, and go into a poor black neighborhood, and start calling black people neg---s. Then you will learn why it's offensive to say that word.
(They will beat you to a pulp, and I would love to watch.)
