When did you make a conscious choice to be heterosexual?

Did you find both men and women equally sexually attractive?

What went into the decision process?

There are many options of what to do with those body parts, and orientation is about what gender you are romantically and sexually attracted to. You don't even have to do anything with any body parts to be heterosexual or homosexual.

You can choose who to be with. No one chooses what sex they are attracted to. Some people are attracted to the opposite sex, the same, or both sexes. That's the way God made us.
