Me too. The party is not the country. The party line from either party is all about maintaining power at any cost. Not what is good for our nation.
That is why I say hardliners.
A reasonable democrat and a reasonable republican can almost always find a common ground.
A reasonable liberal and a reasonable conservative can find common ground.
Hardliners never will.

What is comming to light is far bigger than GW and Obama. There is a spy industrial complex that has balloned way bigger than anyone cared to look at. In power and money spent.

Now Senators on both sides are looking to real this Monster back in.

I imagine the reason for the change is that back in January 06, under Bush, it was a new massive power grab. Sadly, the country has gotten use to the idea, so there's less outrage...

This is for all parties. Party blindness is the exact reason we are where we are today.

Hmmm...

Was it Brietbart, Fox, the Washington Times, NewsMax that broke the story or was it Salon's Glenn Greenwald who besides the Guardian UK writes for Salon.Com that liberal rag as it is often referred to on this site?

I don't approve of either doing this but also realize the congress then and now is also to blame for these unreasonable searches not meeting standard set by supreme over decades of rulings. I think we hear many saying they knew but then that is pure fiction has not even the media knew the details and why this fury over the inside disclosing them. The ACLU certainly didn't know going by their reaction. The administration and others involved call what was revealed national secrets for a reason. Some also just say if it for my safety; not even looking at what it could mean to other searches in future. My guess is they are like those who said the same after Pearl harbor when Japanese citizens where sent to camps.

Bunch of phonies. Their blind allegiance to this farudster is beyond comprehension.
Even Obama loves surveillance now.

2003 remarks:
"Bush has abused his power and violated the Constitution"

2013 remarks:
"It's just a moderate infringement on your rights"

And both over the same thing..NSA grabbing American's phone/internet data.

Your ignorance to all of this is beyond comprehension. It's been going on for quite some time

Did you know that the Framers/Founders were so opposed to political parties that as soon as the opportunity presented itself, they established competing political parties.
