Ahhh.....that view that ignores the fact that a future human being is living inside her - that she participated in creating. But the woman gets to choose to end that life.

We are humans first.....with the right to decide whether or not we want carry a pregnancy.
Or you could just try being a responsible human being by acknowledging before you have sex that a penis in the vagina causes pregnancy and therefore the proper precautions should be taken.

Just to play devils advocate. You're saying, so long as it's legal, it's good, and justified? So long as it's legal. Because laws never change, never have, we've got the same ones in place now as when the country was founded, because no law, no policy, was ever found in time to be unjust, discriminatory, etc, etc.
If it's legal, it's all good. I just want to verify. I hope you're not a woman, or a minority, or an immigrant, or a homosexual.
So you want the child to be a woman's punishment for getting pregnant before she is ready to raise a child? Yeah, that makes a lot of sense.
It's not a punishment, it's called being responsible for your actions. Can anyone really argue against that? I mean, sure you may not want a kid, but since when was that ever an excuse? Since when was, I don't want to face the consequences of my actions if they aren't good been an excuse to get away from those actions?

But again, I'm not arguing over the legality, just the...the way it's viewed. It's a problem. It shouldn't happen. It's like people getting hugely obese, just to get gastric bypass, or lap band, they shouldn't be getting that fat. Why are Americans getting so fat. I'm not saying fat people are bad or evil, or anything like that, but, seriously, America has an Obesity problem. America has a prison problem. A gun violence problem. A higher education/ debt / kids graduating with useless degrees thinking they are owed some fantastic job despite having nothing but a piece of paper and no skills to support it problem, and yes, a people with no business having kids yet, having kids problem.
Should a woman be able to have an abortion at will? Sure. But why is she pregnant in the first place? Did she really not know that when you have sex, a child is a potential outcome? If a woman is on birth control, and a guy uses condoms, come on. What are the chances of her getting pregnant? We need to be teaching responsibility, for both the men, AND the women, so this doesn't happen.
It's not a punishment, it's called being responsible for your actions.
Forcing someone to raise a child because of an accident is a punishment. Also, it isnt your place or our government's place to tell women what can and cannot grow inside their bodies.
