That is a very good point..I've known a lot of bigheaded, arrogant cops in my day and you never know the real story unless you are standing right there when it happens.
I don't really care if the kid was wrong or right as far as the school rules go. I'm saying why do you have detention, suspension and expulsion if the first thing you do when an 8th grader mouths off is to call the police?
As far as the state attacking a 14 year old CHILD being attacked by the state...shame on the state...How are we going to have leaders in the future if we crush independent minds?
Do you always believe what the TV tells you? Do you think the courts should decide the case based on that nice lady on the TV?

It seems to be the growing attitude of those in government (or government run entities).
"Just shut up and do what you are told or we will have you arrested"
So, in YOUR opinion, why did the teacher tell the kid to turn the shirt inside out or change it?
Did YOU read the County Dress Code posted in this thread before you posted?
I read the dress code. I don't have an opinion on what happened. I have opinions based upon the conjecture of what happened and I have already said that depending on those facts where the school was wrong and where the child was wrong.
But how the hell could I have an opinion on why the teacher did what he did? That would make me someone who digests only information that I want to agree with in order to inform my opinion and that's too close to brainwashing for me.
Agreeing with one side because you drank their koolaid instead of weighing actual facts is a lot closer to Nazi then this case. And that's what you're doing.
It's one thing to support the NRA, it does not give you the right to run your mouth at the cop. The 14 yr old BOY needs to learn respect and when and how to fight his battles. All he had to do was shutup and let his father be contacted to do battle.
According to the report, the crime he's charged with is obstructing, and the reason he's charged with it is BECAUSE he "shutup" and wouldn't answer the officer's questions.
sue the cop, the school, the department, the county and the state for violation of his 1st Amendment civil liberties.
Exactly. Or if you have no case squeal to the press when you know the other side can't talk.
