Have you seen what full grown human adults can do to children?
Go watch some nanny cams or read about sexual abuse or watch some of the punishments handed out by adults who have a much stronger ability to know the difference between right and wrong.
Dogs aren't completely instinctual. They will and do think on a very basic level but they're simply products of their enviornment. They don't do anything that doesn't further their survival.
This argument from the nanny-staters who simply are control freaks gets old really quick.

I went for a long walk today and met the sweetest pitbull named Molly. Damn near licked me to death. I was wiping pitbull spit off my face all the way home. What a doll.
