I really don't care what Kim Kardashian or Alec Baldwin tweet, why do they

Is it because their god (Reagan) was a Hollywood actor?

Why are conservatives so vested in the comments made by hollywood
actors?
Not to mention communists. Did you see them salivating over what Putin said, and giving him high-fives? Most peculiar.

I don't know what you mean by 'vested', but there have been many times that a liberal celebrity has mouthed off and liberal posters here have made hay with it. As to Baldwin's latest brain fart, what gets my attention is that he gets away with using a politically incorrect term that, were it uttered by a non-lib, would get them pilloried.

I wasn't aware that Anderson Cooper was a conservative.

I've noticed this strange conservative obsession with Hollywood as well. I'm a liberal and enjoy a great movie every once in awhile (even though Hollywood makes about 90% crap), but I could care less about Hollywood stars or their personal lives.

But one look at Drudge or Fox News, or any other conservative media news source, it seems half their stories are always about celebrities. Contrast that with the top liberal sites like Huffington Post, NPR, Salon, or Slate, and you almost never see hollywood gossip on their front pages.

Strange indeed.

There's a difference in the way conservatives and liberals operate politically.

Conservatives - the end is that principles are supported regardless of person

Liberals - the end is that their team beats conservatives and team members are supported regardless of actions.

So when Baldwin spouts his homophobic slurrs -
  • Conservatives see he violates the principle and expects liberals to be offended as they are.
  • Liberals see he is a part of the team and turns a deaf ear.

When a righty spouts homophobic slurrs -
  • Conservatives see he violates the principle and gives very little support.
  • Liberals see he is on the opposing team and attacks.

Conservatives are offended by homophobic slurs?

I call BS on your claim.
