This is something the government had absolutely no business interjecting themselves into. It was a local crime issue that happens all across the country but for some reason it's become a national story.

If there are problems after the verdict the blame lies solely on the shoulders of those who have made this a national story.
Places such as Sanford, FL are unprepared to handle escalating racial tensions but I don't see $5000 doing much of a difference. This is more than just a local crime, the level of media attention made it a rather large event as you stated.

The OP seemed to insinuate the DOJ was organizing these marches, I don't believe that was true.

Nobody believed that government spying was as widespread as we know today it is either. Nobody believed that the Feds would sell guns to drug dealers and then lose track of them. Nobody believed the government would target it's citizens for death without due process. Nobody believed the government would argue they can imprison citizens and deny them due process.

Nobody believed the IRS would politically target groups. Nobody believed the Feds would turn a blind eye to Wall Street criminals. (well maybe there they did).

Our country is lost. I hate to say it but when we've gotten to this point where the DOJ uses tax payer money to feed racial tensions and gets involved in a matter like protesting, what else can you say.
Just one more example of the scandals and corruption in this administration. Where is the outrage from the MSM?

What would BSNBC be presenting if your tax dollars were used to support groups like the KKK or Aryan Nations and to build support for racial hatred and attacks against blacks, instead of whites?

CRS has 15 offices throughout the country, and provides its services free of charge to the parties involved. The agency does not impose solutions, investigate, prosecute, or assign blame or fault. CRS provides impartial conciliation and mediation services intended to prevent violence and civil disorder, reduce tensions, help parties in conflict identify solutions and build local capacity to resolve future conflicts."

God forbid someone should try to do some conflict resolution between factions.

Bussing protester to a rally AGAINST ZIMMERMAN is "choosing sides". The DOJ better have deep pockets when Zimmerman's lawyers get through with suing them.

Well, what do you expect when you have a racist in the White House who has become the most divisive president ever? He never does anything to quell racial issues.

Another scandal added to the list under the Obama administration. Of course since this isn't a Republican administration, it will be largely ignored and called another "fake" scandal by those on the far left. Just warning you!

The DOJ has the deepest pockets on the planet. No individual and very few companies can stand toe to toe with the DOJ and not lose.

The Feds have many weapons they can use to obliterate the average George.
