No they dont.. Socialism is the government PRODUCING things.. The items you listed dont produce a dam thing.. There is nothing to be produced and distributed by police, fire, etc

No it isn't, the definition of socialism is social ownership of the means of production, not state, you don't know what you're talking about. If the state owns the means of production instead of the workers maintaining a capitalist mode of production then the state acts as the capitalist.

There can be voting in socialism in fact it's more likely with democratic ownership of the means of production. How about you look into what socialism actually means instead of looking at capitalist countries with socialist rhetoric as examples.

Since when is socialism the opposite of a free market? And since when does capitalism mean free market? Capitalism is about private ownership of capital, we have plenty of that in America, I don't believe the US ever had a free market though.
