No, this board has an healthy mix of opinons. If it is very different from your friends, it is probably because you surround yourself with liberals.

Conservatives seem to be overrepresented, but not to that extent, so I'd say it's your imagination .

LOL at the extreme right-wingers of the forum flocking to this thread to deny the obvious. Trust me, OP, every poster who says you're imagining it is a known con. To them, a "balanced" mix is the John Birch Society and the KKK.

It is your bias feeding your imagination. There are more people on here that claim to independents than what I have found in the general public, but it really is a good mix on here. By all means, the extremists on BOTH ends can be accused of posting a heck of a lot more on their chosen pet subject, and neither is in short supply here, but that doesn't mean moderates aren't here. They just don't care strongly enough to continually post, so it seems like there are more extremists. You only notice the right because those are the ones whose veiws annoy you the most.

Funny. I see just as many "Being gay makes one practically holy," "White people are the scourge of the earth," "Science negates God - I know that because my professor told me it's true," and "Your money is my money" threads around here.

The vast majority of posters on this forum just come here to fight. There's not really much political discussion going on here. Lots of childish name-calling and insults. Posts meant to make or respond to a point are routinely matched by zingers instead of analysis.

It's just entertainment, not debate.

Yeah, we're all racists and KKK members, blah blah blah.

Any opinion short of $20/hour for fast food workers, taxpayer funded abortions by union nurses in free housing, or free unicorns and rainbows, is construed as "extreme" by progressives. They have hijacked the Democratic Party.

Most of my republican friends don't care what you do as long as you're paying for it.
