I can't let go of what Richard Gere did after 9/11. I liked him so much, but, now, I think he is a total weenie. He stood in Madison Square Garden explaining how we should "let it go..." Is that DUMB, Ken?
After nearly 50 years - yeah, it's DUMB.
We are no longer enemies with Vietnam and in fact, I've read many stories of Vietnam War vets (some of them former POWs themselves) who have since returned to Vietnam and made peace with themselves and their former captors (including John McCain, and Douglas Peterson - who later became the 1st US ambassador to Hanoi following normalization of diplomatic relations).

Fonda herself has apologized several times - admitting she was both wrong and stupid for what she did (and as it turns out most of the worst stories (such as the one about her handing over to the North Vietnamese messages given to her by POWs) about what she did in North Vietnam are outright lies that were simply MADE UP and spread in viral e-mails). What Fonda did was pretty bad, but NOBODY deserves to have bogus stories like that made up about them.

Holding on to bitterness like you are really only hurts YOU.

...but it's your choice.

Ken

The people who hurt our POWs were the ones who put them in a useless, unnecessary, ill-advised war of choice in the first place.

Funny the self-Righteous don't get as upset about a POTUS who sold weapons to an enemy, eh?

The movie is not "Starring" Jane Fonda - she's in a supporting role (like lots of other actors).

Ken
She was in a supporting role in the war too........supporting the enemy.

What's the matter, didn't have the weeks you'd probably need to find a more biased web-site?

My uncle was a hippie and went AWOL to go find his girlfriend in California. Said he spend a night in the same jail cell as Manson. I think he's full of sheet about that one but he can still rip it on his Les Paul. He didn't hang out with VC troops though.

In other words, you have your usual blather with no supporting facts.
