you and the other right wingers make a horrible argument.
LBJ turned the black vote for Dems from a 60-70% majority to a 90+ % majority. The great society, liberal welfare state, whatever you want to call it, is what turned the black vote into overwhelmingly Dem.

I don't care what label the parties slapped on their ideology in the 60's. All that matters is that the Conservatives of the 60's voted against the Civil Rights Act and the Liberals of the 60's voted for it.

It's usually called "ending a century of state-backed terrorism and discrimination against black Americans", but feel free to continue blathering about a "welfare state".

conservatives continue to show why black Americans don't generally vote for conservatives in this thread and in the real world.

Every time conservatives discuss black Americans, you can be assured the discussion is going to be negative towards black Americans as a group. You can be assured that conservatives are going to scoff and ignore the concerns of black Americans.

Great job conservatives, You all will work your way down to getting 2% of the black vote eventually.

Assumption is, thought is involved in casting a vote, either that 90 something figure is propaganda or that is the only demographic where each and every member thinks alike. Normally if one assumes every member of a specific demographic thinks alike they would be charged with prejudicial thinking/racism..... the latest novelty presidential election aside.

A small group of people in a gerrymandered district might achieve 93% but how is that possible across the nation?

If that 93% figure is true then abandon all hope of reasonable argument. It certainly does not mean blanket approval of Dem philosophy but more of a legacy or traditional vote...like when Christmas comes once a year you put up a tree and lights.

Yep, because you have convinced yourself that 93% of some group can't support a political party nationwide based on policy, you have convinced yourself that it is tradition or that each and every member of that group thinks alike. Those limited choices for explaining why 93% of black voters vote for the Democratic nominee for President are based on your limitations.

You start off with a false premise based on your lack of understanding of how something could be and instead of looking to expand your field of knowledge you go the simplistic route.

LBJ had only one purpose in mind, was doing nothing more than out-and-out vote buying. And what's worse is that blacks (and liberal whites) bought it.

Democrats Continue to Prove that It's All about Vote-Buying
Well, as bad as Johnson might have been, Blacks had no incentive to vote for Goldwater. Goldwater wasn't going to do anything for Blacks. He didn't care about Black people. It is a matter of vote for the guy who is going to do something for you vs voting for the guy who isn't going to do anything for you. What have Republican Presidential candidates done for Blacks as of late?

This thread hasn't been negative towards black people and only a couple of conservatives posted in here.

Yea keep voting Democrat that's your choice. At least it's good for the politicians.

pettling more disingenious 'facts' devoid of context

I suggest you learn the difference between 'dixie'-crats and democrats and look up the republican 'southern strategy'!
