A 16 y/o was recently kidnapped by a 40 y/o man, who had a crush on her, and held captive for approximately a week before being shot and killed by law enforcement officials.
It's well within the realm of possibility that she was sexually assaulted during this time period.

The choice?
No.
If it's the right thing to do, then abortion in the case of rape should be mandatory.
If it's not the right thing to do, then abortion should be off the table.
Why should one person be given the power of life and death just because they were the victim of a crime?
The better question is, if a special right to kill a child is given to rape victims because they are rape victims, how is extending the same special right to kill a child to non-victims justified?
Of course we all know that almost all abortions are done as a matter of convinience for women who got pregnant because they used no birth control.
I don't care if it's for convenience or necessity or rape or birth defects.....a woman has every right to choose what's best for her. I'm not going to be raising that child and neither are you. Women are not brood mares forced to continue a pregnancy to term. It's between a woman and her doctor. Period.

Why do you assume she would be forced to give birth.
If she was impregnated maybe she wants to carry to term. Ever consider that. It happens all the time.
