Egalitarian applies to TAXES as well:

Why are you failing to understand that it's in our federal government's best interest to foster much less equal incomes under our much more progressive tax structure?

No, it is not meaningless. The cost of living may be higher in California, but so are incomes.
We are talking about averages for a reason...

No, I have said nothing like that, thus no need to provide proof for the statement you have put into my mouth.

Rich people have their tricks, they can afford tax accountants who know how to keep tax payments as low as possible.

Not that old crap again. There is nothing socialist about universal health care...

Without that progression the US would rank even worse than it already does.

Again, universal health care is only available in countries that have a much LESS progressive tax structure.

And why are you failing to understand that it's in our federal government's best interest to foster much less equal incomes under our much more progressive tax structure?

If liberals truly wanted what they claim to want, they wouldn't bat an eye at implementing a much more egalitarian tax system in the U.S. to pay for their wants.

I think you look at it from the wrong side. It is in the government's best interest to foster much more equal incomes so they can do away with some of the progression as a result.

Totally false. Taxes aren't even considered in that progression.

Incomes will not equalize until taxes do. No one is going to continue to pay more while earning less.

Liberals, put your money where your mouths are. Equalize the tax burden distribution to that seen in Switzerland, etc.

That is so dumb.

If everyone has $2700, then $2700 might as well be zero, and you will be back where you started from.
