Zombocom well it reflects well on Wyoming that there are no mass ghettos there wouldn't you agree? And with Louisiana the stats are skewed by New Orleans and Baton Rouge which are Democrat controlled cities with liberal judges letting people off and may have local gun laws. Rural Louisiana is very safe. West Virginia is also one of the safest states in the nation where crime is almost nonexistent, compared to places like Maryland, Pennsylvania, and especially New Jersey which is a slummy, crime-ridden wasteland. NJ for example looks rich on paper but the cost of living is higher there and the quality of life there is horrid.

Because they execute more people who deserve to. Okay lets say Texas executed 50 people in the past 10 years. In the same time period, there were probably 100 criminals in California, 150 criminals in New Jersey, and 200 criminals in New York who DESERVED to be executed but were just given life in prison, or paroled early, let back on the streets, etc due to liberal judges and liberal juries.

I lived in Baltimore until last month. Still follow the news there sometimes. I'd say from the Baltimore local news alone there are at least 10 people so far this year who deserved the death penalty. Such as the ghetto thug who murdered a 2 year old in a drive by shooting. Or the crazy woman who ordered a hit on her husband. Or the man who committed murder for $1000.
