Another classic example of "damned if he does, damned if he doesn't."

If Obama signs off on the verdict, you cons will accuse him of granting him "martyrdom."

If he doesn't, you'll shriek that he did it because he wanted to save "a fellow Muslim."

Obama Derangement Syndrome is a terrible thing.

Yes it is. That said, I highly doubt he will get the death penalty. Of course that means they will accuse Obama of influencing the decision.

I agree totally with this and this is what I would like to see happen. Worst case scenario, I can see the panel of senior officers giving him the death penalty but fully expecting Obama to commute it to life in prison without parole.

Either way, I don't care - in this case, I just hope he sits there in that wheelchair till his tailbone rots off.

Default Nidal Hasan sentenced to death for Fort Hood shooting

Nidal Hasan sentenced to death for Fort Hood shooting rampage - The Washington Post

Too bad it didn't get tried in state or federal court, if this were in Virginia he'd probably be dead in 7 years.

Nidal Hassan has received the death penalty.

The President has no stake in this. Hassan has indicated that this is what he wants, and he has no interest in appealing. Hassan will be put to death.

The punishment fits the crime.

Let's hope he's not still around in 20 years.

Wouldn't it make more sense to just return him to his home country?

And by return, I mean push him out of the airplane when it is 30,000 feet above the home country.
