Debating with KaaBoom is an exercise in futility. He has no concept of what he is talking about, he spouts statistics that don't exist and really doesn't care about any ones rights but his own... Don't waste your time. You may as well talk to a wall....
Again 70% of murders are committed with guns. Guns are the major problem, not bows, knives, or slingshots. Second, guns can be banned. They have been in many countries. It is not practical to ban these other items, and there is no reason to ban them. The number of people getting killed with slingshots or bows is insignificant. It probably doesn't even happen.
Marijuana has been banned in the US, how many states have made it legal?
How will your thought stop gangs from getting guns?
I am going to disagree with the pro-gun guys KaaBoom's article. The sentence "He had a handgun in his waistband." was enough to change my mind. This was 100% negligence. If you are going to put a gun in your waistband, it should be properly holstered in something like a Crossbreed - CrossBreed® Holsters where the trigger is protected.
I carry in "condition 1" all day, every day. That means one is in the chamber and the hammer (internal hammer in this case) is back. I use a a super tuck holster (see link above) as well as having both a trigger safety and a beavertail safety. I am fully confident in my steps to prevent a negligent discharge to the point that I snuggle up with my wife on the couch without disarming.
An accident that doesn't happen to non-gun owners. But hey, girlfriends are replaceable. If you happen to kill a few of them with your gunz, what the hell. Thats just the price you pay for exercising your freedom, right?

Do I need to to back into how many time guns save lives every year and how that is multiple times higher than gun deaths?
