Ha! The parents sued Holloway for defaming their kids's name.
In the other article they sued because now the kids will find difficulties applying for college and / or finding jobs.
Shake my heads....
This sort of thing is always much trickier than it appears.
How did the kids get in?
Who did the actual organizing?
Who did the actual damage?
Since when is it a criminal offense to attend a party?
Who knew what and when?
You would need to know a whole lot more before anyone gets arrested.
Those questions really don't matter - the kids destroyed property and posted it on the net. Whether it was their home or someone else's - they knew that what was going on was wrong. If they're stupid enough to stay there during all the mayhem then they're just as guilty. I'm sure if that was your home - you wouldn't be happy.

Nonsense. I would agree there likely were some present who violated the law. But mere presence at a party would hardly constitute a violation any more a serious offense. An underage swigging a bear may well be a violation...but going after such after the party?
It is sad when this sort of thing happens. And I would think the local police should attempt to charge someone for breaking in (that is if they broke in) and the damage (if they can actually associate anyone with it).
In my neck of the woods the parents involved would have organized quickly and gotten the house fixed and grounded our little darlings until hell froze over. Got to keep the little darlings from thinking it correct to even get near such an event...But the real guilty will be few in number...the others are guilty of bad judgement.
And I would think any parents who sue are also crazy. Though I doubt any will. That is much more a threat to compel the owner to take the kids pictures and names down.

Considering he was a thousand miles away and no one had permission to enter the house, it is not his fault. Maybe that parent should sue the organizer. And maybe those kids shouldn't have posted their pics in the house which is evidence.
Oh, but "being a parent" is the hardest, most rewarding, most satisfying job in the whole wide world. Sounds like 300 parents didn't get that memo because they're failing miserably at doing their frickin' job !
Well, we now know why the little [pieces of excrement] are so dysfunctional. Mommy and daddy think they can do no wrong. WTF is wrong with these people? I hope they sue, lose, and are forced to pay all court costs.
