Let's be honest here ..... Obama trots out his "comprehensive Immigration" and "evil Republicans hate brown people" every time there is an election. 2013 is not an election year, he made noises early after he won in 2012 with about the 6th - "I promise, promise, promise that I will do it this time .... IF you will only vote for me one more time".

They did and now he has other fish to fry - like a still bad economy, the Syria mess, the ObamaCare mess, all the scandals that he is juggling and of course the Fundraising and Entertainment stuff.

Look for the 7th pivot to "immigration" in 2014 ..... when he needs votes again.

Very true. Nothing will happen either way. We had the House, Senate and POTUS for most of the 2000's and nothing got done. It's just a good way to get the trailer park types in the base all fired up.
I see, so it is only the trailer park types that want illegal immigration stopped and our immigration laws enforced?

Well -- the "trailer park types" are the ones seeing their chances at jobs go *poof* because of the millions of cheap labor types pouring over the borders. It's the liberal elite who adores having cheap unlimited servants and factory workers. The liberal 1% is getting exceedingly wealthy with having labor costs lowered.

In summary, 2/3 Republicans in a " secret" bipartisan group, attempting to write yet another immigration bill, pick up their toys and go home because they " can't trust Obama to implement it".

This is leadership?

I for 1 am for a step by step process rather than a large pork blunder. Requiring 100% E-verify is a good start.
Streamline the process would be another.
Make it impossible or at least very difficult to live here and as we have seen in states that crack down, illegals will self deport.
How can you trust the word of a man who parades a chemical engineer on stage and represents her as the average illegal?
If any/all presidential admin had chosen to enforce the laws on the books for the past 30 years, the U.S. would not be up to its ears in illegal immigration.

Follow the money. Who benefits from illegal workers?

Any policy that depends on enforcement is doomed to fail no matter who is in office. There is no stopping illegal immigration. There was a story in the AZ press this week about how the new tidal wave coming across in AZ is not latin Americans but Indians.
Regardless of who has sat the oval or held the majority for the past 30 years, there is no interest in enforcing the laws on the books. Way too many have been and continue to build wealth off the backs of illegal labor. They contribute to campaigns, political parties, pacs and lobbies to maintain the status quo.

True and it's all part of the globalist agenda. The Mexican government would not allow Walmarts and other stores to move in and be put up throughout all of Mexico without that deal made that we would take it's impoverished populations off it's hands.

The corporations can either send the factories and jobs to foreign countries where the labor costs are extremely low, or they can bring the foreign labor here. Americans are for paying taxes and for being consumers.

Yes --- nevermind that black youth has the highest unemployment rates of all groups and that blacks as a group have more unemployment than do whites.

Throwing 11 to 30 million additional cheaper workers into the legal labor pools will definitely hurt blacks more than it hurts whites. Not to mention the college financial aid lines.

ICE has historically, as in 30 +/- years, gone easy on employers of illegals and seeks to protect their identities. Most are small businesses, with < 500 employees. There's an occasional raid leaked to the press and minor fines imposed on employers.

Funny how the illegal workers are viewed as the bad guys in all of this and there is no focus on the companies who employ them.

Making this a partisan issue is what perpetuates the status quo.

No sheet, jelly bean. The point is that it is "both" the elite in the GOP and the Democrat party that love the cheap, illegal labor and are padding their corporate buddies pockets. Yes, it has been several administrations that has been lax on illegal immigration also. However, it is Obama that has put a stop to any deportations of illegals unless they have a felony record and he has given 1.8 million so-called Dreamies a stay of deportation with work permits. No other president has done that. Reagan passed an amnesty for much fewer illegals and he lived to regret it because the border was not secured as promised by congress. We didn't have 23 million Americans out of work back then and a crap economy either.
