No, you're not grasping that I was agreeing with the OP. It is illogical to blame all gun owners for gun deaths when we don't blame all muslims for violence in the name of islam. It's actually more illogical to blame gun owners given they don't have a religion that teaches violence. I am NOT blaming all muslims for violence committed in the name of islam. I'm simply pointing out that there is more reason to do that than there is reason to blame all gun owners.

Not the OP but when was the last time someone was killed with the koran? Were they bludgeoned with it?

Guns are weapons. Books aren't. Well, not in the sense that the book itself will be the weapon they kill with. You have to make sure fruit cakes don't get guns. Hence the waiting periods.

In another thread someone posted a link to an article on how many mass killings are committed by people who had been on psychotropic drugs. Maybe that needs to be part of the background check.

The point, which you obviously missed, is there is actually a lot more reason to blam muslims for violence than there is gun owners for gun violence. Yet it's not PC to do so with muslims and is ok to do so with gun owners. I was pointing out the hypocrisy of saying it's not PC to blame members of a group with a history like that of the muslim religion while it's ok to say gun owners are to be blamed for gun deaths. A little reading comprehension goes a long way.

But there are those who commit gun violence in the name of Islam....but I guess that's the fault of gun owners too...
I know it's fun attacking a straw man but who has a problem with all gun owners?

You sound like the people who claim that voting never hurt anyone. The Koran, much like voting has killed more people on this planet than any gun nuts could dream of.

Let the mouth frothing hate begin lol
LOL...it's like you guys want people to hate you so that you'll feel important.

Really dude...no one cares if you hate Muslims or own a gun. Hell, YOU probably don't even care.

I'm reading exactly what you're saying. You're going beyond what the OP is saying. You're injecting fallacy by saying things like Islam teaches violence which is an inaccurate generalization in itself making you a hypocrite. Realistically, you cannot generalize about gun owners or muslims and there is no reason to it to one over the other... which is exactly the OPs point... but you are so bias that you cannot understand that.

The OPs point is clear. Just like you can't blame all Muslims for the acts of a few, you cannot blame all gunowners for the acts of a few.

Yet you had to kick this into an anti-muslim thread. Good job .
but many gun nuts blame Blacks, Hispanics, Muslims, socialists, for the actions of a few

And many left wing morons blame all gun owners for the actions of just a few. Isn't that the point of this thread?

That depends. Are you referring to only the morons on the left or is everyone on the left a moron?

Then why is the current administration in the Middle East? Don't drone me bro.
Show some proof that that the right thinks all muslims are terrorists.
