I agree. If someone does that, they are off the rails. It IS senseless, not to mention absolutely untrue.
The vast, vast majority of gun owners are perfectly reasonable, rational, peace-loving people.

Firstly, The Bible (and remember, Islam arose from Judaism just as Christianity did) contains a great deal of violence, with god destroying all humans in the world except for one family, punishing cities by laying waste to them, exhorting his followers to march into villages and kill every man, woman and child, etc., etc.
Christianity, too, has a very deep and wide history of violence.
Of course, at this point in history, Muslims enact more violence than Christians, in general terms.
But the vast majority of Muslims are perfectly reasonable, rational, peace-loving people.
In my opinion, the extreme zealot violent radicals (Taliban members in particular) should just be killed on sight.

The point, which you obviously missed, is there is actually a lot more reason to blam muslims for violence than there is gun owners for gun violence. Yet it's not PC to do so with muslims and is ok to do so with gun owners.

No, there is really no more reason whatsoever to blame either all Muslims OR all gun owners for the actions of a few.
Violent @-holes who go shooting up schools or go on kill rampages with guns are no more indicative of gun owners as a whole than Islamist suicide bombers are indicative of Muslims as a whole.
Similarly, groups of hateful idiots like the KKK and Westboro Baptist Church are not representative of Christians as a whole, the vast majority of whom are perfectly reasonable, rational, peace-loving people.
(I agree, though, that the PC nonsense has really gotten out of control.)
