Most black Panamanians in Panama have Spanish surnames. There are some black Panamanians in Panama that have English surnames. Most black Panamanians with English/Irish/Scottish surnames have been the ones that have migrated and relocated to the USA en masse.

It's a big misconception people have. People go soley by what they see in the USA or abroad. If you go to Panama it's a very different story.

Black Panamanians with Spanish surnames tend to remain in Panama more so and have not migrated outside as much as those English surnamed blacks.

Black Panamanians with English surnames do not make up a substantial percentage. A lot of the demographical statistics are miscategorized.

A lot of miscategorization and political semanticizations have distorted things giving off this misguided perception.

Well for starters, Afrodescendants includes blacks. But black does NOT necessarily automatically include people of mixed African descent in varying degrees. By Afrodescendants, that includes people who are of any African ancestry whether 1% black or Afrodescent to 100% Afrodescent.

I simply was just stating the fact and truth that Brazil has lots of skin color shade descriptors and that blacks are a minority in Brazil sociopolitically and demographically.

But yes it's obvious that a substantial portion of Brazil's population has African descent.

In Brazil if a person is raised in black community and black culture that can also qualify them as black. Depending on how they are raised.
