Can anyone take this idiot seriously?

Rep. Charlie Rangel (D-NY) Compares Republicans To Confederacy - YouTube

He compares the Tea Party to Confederates! This guy represents the Democrat Party, and their views of the Tea Party.

Why should anyone negotiate with this kind of hatred?

WHy do you refer to anything Charlie Rangel say, as "thinking"?

He's just throwing various lies up against the wall, and hoping something sticks.

He's right. One of the more "brilliant" plans being floated by the House GOP right now is to pass their own plan, full of all their favorite demands, and then adjourn and quickly leave town so no further talk is possible before we hit the debt ceiling.

The House has been taken over by hostile forces whose only aim is to take the government down if they can't have their way. It's hard to deny that any longer.

Who cares what this tax cheat has to say. Charlie claims he is a "war hero" when everyone knows he peeled potatos and washed clothing in the army.

I sure hear a lot of people say..."Let it crash and burn, and rebuild". Rangel is only observing what many have stated.

Great idea. Then the President can call a special session, in accordance with Article II section 3, of the Constitution. If the Reps don't show, the Dems will pass the Senate bill.

But yes, this group of Republicans have no interest in the country over their narrow ideology. It's a shame this happened to one of the nation's once great political parties.

That's your interpretation of Article II, Section 3?

LOL

The Senate bill would not mirror that of the House, so it would not be eligible to be signed by the President. Article II has nothing to do with this crap.

What an idiotic interpretation. So moronic that i'd bet my next paycheck you don't come back to this thread to defend such absurdity.
