Correction OP - the Democrats shut down the government so that they could get what they wanted.

People will remember when they vote next year -and the Dems will lose seats.

Ok.. But voting in even more fanatical GOP conservatives will just make things worse.

That is the likely scenario.

Obama’s Michael Corleone strategy has succeeded.

The idea that Democrats are at fault for not caving to GOP extortion is breathtaking.

It's TEA pary (teaparty.org), not "teabaggers."

I've got to say, I admire you, Harrier. When you are getting your ass kicked, you double down and pretend you are winning. It's kind of cute, in a naive, pathetic, idiotic way.

There never was any "extortion".

Do you people really just parrot what MSNBC says without doing any critical analysis about what occurred?

It is quite simple.

The House submitted a bill that would have funded the government.

The Senate, led by Democrats, didn't like that bill, and instead of working with the House to craft a bill that would be mutually acceptable to both, threw a tantrum and shut down the government until they got what they wanted.

This is why the official seal of the Democrat Party has a yowling baby as a symbol for the whining extreme left liberals who run the donkey party.

Americans want adults in Congress - and they will get them by throwing the Democrats out of Congress next year.

Even if that were true, it wouldn't matter.

The Democrats have the most important seat... the one in the Oval Office.

The Democrats will be keeping that seat in 2016 too.

Republicans won't have veto proof majorities regardless

So, don't pat yourself on the back too much.

It is true.

How is the president the "most important seat"?

We have three equal branches of government - no seat is more important or powerful than any other.

Are you saying that you expect President Obama to become a dictator and that you would support sucha thing?
