Truth be told the term Tea Bagger originated with the Tea Party itself. We liberals are only calling Tea Baggers, Tea Baggers out of respect for their choice of moniker.
It's almost not even worth bringing up, because there's zero chance that you'll admit it, but the movement never chose that nickname. You had one sweet old lady that used it, not understanding its modern meaning, and happened to get caught on camera.
If you have any integrity whatsoever, and you disagree with entire groups being labeled or pigeonholed based on the statements or actions of a single individual, you'll at the very least stop using that slur, but you really should apologize for it. You know it's wrong. You know it's insulting. I really don't understand why it's even allowed on this forum, when using many less insulting terms results in an infraction. But the forum mods do what they do, for whatever reasons. You have a choice. Exercise it.
I guess we all just imagined the signs proudly proclaiming the bearers to be teabaggers. I remember one even mixed a little eternal salvation in with their political outrage with the infamous "Teabagging for Jesus" sign. No matter where you fall on the political spectrum, if you can't laugh at that one you have no soul.
BTW, will you be issuing admonishments and demands for an apology to your fellow teabaggers and conservatives on this forum that refuse to use the proper terminology for the Affordable Care Act and Democratic Party? Afterall, they know it is wrong and they know it is insulting when they intentionally use other terms, right?
But recall this is the group that voted 40 times to repeal ObamaCare. All they care about is preening for their base. They don't actually DO anything.
And the poor sods that do try to do anything to reel in the runaway spending are branded by the leftist media. When people let a media tell them how to think, how to vote, what to eat and not to eat and what is good and what is bad, they have lost their souls. No, I don't think so. The "establishment" types may be replaced if their are strong Republican challengers. The base is not going to replace anybody with a Democrat. We aren't that stupid!
No, the base is not that stupid, but they do have a tendency to sit home on the couch if the candidate is too religious, the wrong religion, not religious enough or pro women's rights, or not pro women's rights....or has a gay son, daughter or pet. It is never perfect enough for the base.
Based on the deal the Senate has developed and Boehner will present to the House for their vote:
Obamacare will not be repealed.
Obamacare will not be defunded.
Obamacare will not be delayed.
The individual mandate will not be delayed.
The medical-device tax will not be repealed.
The health-insurance subsidies given to members of Congress and their staffs will not be taken away.
Its disgusting they are giving this tyrant EXACTLY WHAT HE WANTS!!!!!!!

We have three equal branches of government - no seat is more important or powerful than any other.
Are you saying that you expect President Obama to become a dictator and that you would support sucha thing?
The executive branch is 2/3s more powerful than the legislative branch.
