The business community has condemned the TParty for their actions that took the country right to the brink of a default. They want some sense of stability from the government. In all actuality, it's like the remark a commentator made on the business channel..... they don't really care which party is in power and is holding the baby.... as long as they don't drop the baby.
It's not just the businesses, but individuals too. We, the people, invest in 401Ks etc, and the TP-Torpedo was going to sink those too. Heck, the whole world wants to see a stable US, not one which is constantly in some self-infleced crises situation.

I keep hearing this lie... COMPLEYELY IGNORING the fact that a default was never a possibility since a law was passed (back in June I believe it was) insuring that e interest would be paid, even in the event of a budget impass.
The Businesses said they will not supprt the TP. Worse, they said they will help anyone campaigning to get them out of Congress. What the TP did was irresponsible and reckless and their actions were going to deal a serious blow to businesses in US. Thank God the more mature Republicans were able to limit the damage to $24 Billion.
No surprise, since the TP folks are against lobbyist, of which Dirk Van Dongen is one of the biggest.
This man has "inside the beltway" written all over him.
And please explain to me how borrowing more, spending more, and kicking the can down the road is the responsible tactic? But I know you won't because you'd rather spew forth your progressive namecalling than admit that this country needs to get a handle on our debt.
With businesses dropping support for TP, one must wonder who still supports them....
Their financial backers, Koch Bros and Rupert Murdoch ala what's good for Fox News is good for his bottom line.
Conversely, Bloomberg's deep pocket support his causes, regardless of party. If Warren Buffet gets interested as we head into 2016, we will likely see the War of the Billionaires determining the next president one piece of smear campaigning after another.

Can anyone say lies and agenda?
Paying one bill out of 10 does not prevent default.

You are missing the point. There are smart ways, and stupid ways to handle problems, and you support the stupid. No, I have not called anyone names.
LMAO So NOW liberals are perfectly fine with big business being in bed with government.
You're evidently quite uninformed about American politics: The #1 complaint of the Occupy movement was how much the political parties were "in bed with" big business, and they were referring to Democrats as much as the Republicans.

I read about this in the WSJ this morning. It's encouraging to hear that the US Chamber of Commerce, specifically, is considering recruiting and sponsoring reasonable Republicans to run against the RWNJs of the Tea Party movement that are currently in Congress. While I may not agree with all or even most of what reasonable Republicans support, they will be a substantial improvement in that they'll be responsible and conscientious about their obligation to work with those that disagree with them to reach a fair compromise.
Despite presiding over a chamber that nearly drove the country to a debt default, John A. Boehner still has the enduring support of a group that would’ve been most harmed by that event: the business community.
Rather than revisit their strategy of supporting Republicans after this week’s near-disaster, influential organizations such as the U.S. Chamber of Commerce are standing behind Boehner. More importantly, Boehner’s friends in the business community are getting ready to take sides in a few Republican primary races against tea party candidates in Michigan, Idaho and Alabama who could cause the House speaker more trouble.
“I don’t know of anybody in the business community who takes the side of the Taliban minority,” said Dirk Van Dongen, longtime chief lobbyist for the National Association of Wholesaler-Distributors who has known Boehner since the lawmaker’s first election.
when a p[person calls the tea party the Taliban all they are doing is showing ignorance of the Taliban and the tea party to make cheap political points
