I'm bumping this for the day people. It's one of the most important issue of the day. Politicians stealing from the tax payers. Been going on forever but is increasing----both sides.

They dont want to talk about this, because Democrats are included. Same reason the media isnt paying much attention. Everyone talks about how screwed up DC is, but when it comes down to specifics and doing something about it, their mouths clamp up and they pretend not to notice.

And we wonder why problems continue....because they get away with it. The media does not do their damn jobs, or they do it very selectively.

This is a non-partisan issue. It's on both sides.

Guess who works for a PAC?

Josh Duggar. Who is famous for having parents with 19 kids and a reality TV show. Josh, who was home schooled, has no college degree and was last seen selling used cars, has a brand new job as executive director of Family Research Council Action. Which is the lobbying arm (that means they're a PAC) of the Family Research Council which lobbies for "family values". They're famous for being anti-LGBT rights. (Yes. Josh is now getting a nice, fat check for telling our elected officials that the LGBT community shouldn't have the same rights as everyone else. Does that sound very American to you?)

Let us know when you've written Josh a strongly-worded letter about the evils of PACs.

Couple that with Jim-Bob declaring his family a church, so he doesn't have to pay taxes, and it turns my stomach.

It's sort of funny how you link to a 60 minutes segment and then right after it you have someone whining about how the media doesn't report this type of thing. Therein lies the reason why this happens in Washington. Of course, it's small fries until we get Congressional districts fixed.

Democracy always breeds coruption and then there is human nature. Someone tell me they would not hire their little sister Sue to be on the campaign and pay her well. Does this legal coruption make any difference? I say no come election day the people will wave their flags, vote for the same leaders and pat themselves on the back for their patriotism.
