Look how England is ending the National Health Service. They are going in the right direction. We are headed in the wrong direction, going backwards.

We continue to take more from hard workers and give more to non-workers or hardly ever workers, while creating even more programs. It isnt working. The government is not supposed to be in that business. Let people keep more of the money they earn, and let charities handle helping the poor. Let these multi-billion/million dollar liberal/non-liberal companies/people give/do more. The government has been doing way too much than it was ever intended and its a scam job against the middle class.
Where has your economic theory proved to be working?

It's what made this country the richest, that once had the highest standard of living and a once thriving middle class. Your socialist way is what isn't working so well.

Actually I think war and recovery from war had more to do with it.

No - death and destruction are what liberals believe in, but it was the great Industrial Revolution with very very few moochers living off the taxpayers that greated our once good economy.

Lots of immigrants who worked for low wages and under horrible conditions in that one though. And those robber barons, and corrupt millionaires and politicians (hmm sounds like 2013). No, there was no middle class as we came to know it until the destruction of our competition in Europe and the policies of Mr. Roosevelt made one.

I understand that's the truth in the conservative alternative reality, but in the real world it's a different story. Our country and every other prosperous country around the world has public investment. This nostalgia for a time when libertarian right-wing economics was the path to the USA's success is just a figment in the minds of those pushing a failed ideology.

If thats the case you can just tax your way to prosperity then. The government will just take care of everyone.
