There are a few things about bullets that a person can be concerned about, though the primary reason is due to the speed. A fast bullet can very easily penetrate the skin and bone. They are small, very fast, and can be launched at a fast rate. In addition, they can travel a long distance.

huh? How does this require any clarification for you?

This is like asking if people inhale because it helps them live, or if people hate traffic jams because they slow them down.

I agree. It is the gun that gets the blame, but the bullet is what does the damage. Just throwing a gun at someone would not often result in fatal injury.

I have boxes full of bullets and they don't scare me. They just kinda sit there.

Well, my mom threw a shotgun at a groundhog. He left.
Not for long, though.

I've got thousands of rounds of ammo in my home, none of them scare me in the least bit. I've got 17 rounds on my hip right now and they only person who should fear them is the moron who tries something stupid.

If gunz didn't make a loud scary bang, the gun-haters wouldn't be nearly as afraid of them.

People are only scared of the black guns though. When the politicians were trying to ban guns they weren't focusing on the most dangerous guns (snicker), or the most common guns used in homicides, the most powerful guns, or the guns that used the largest caliber. Politicians were only focused on the black rifles.

One reason I'm in favor of suppressors.
