If I have a Humana Capture plan, and the premium is $600 per month with a deductible of $1500 and out-of-pocket costs capped at $5000.00, and I go shopping for a new plan, and find a United Health Care Universal plan where the premium is $480 per month with a deductible of $1250 and out-of-pocket costs capped at $5000.00, then I will SAVE money, having found a more affordable plan.
Unless of course your plan doesn't cover maternity and pediatric services and then you must go shopping for a new plan.

And United Healthcare isn't going to offer a new plan that doesn't cover what it is required to cover. So, again, if my new plan is cheaper, then it's cheaper.

For the umpteenth time "pediatric services" are not part of ACA plans unless you insure a pediatric family member. Even then you can choose plans where pediatric dental is not included. The pedia dental in my area is rather crappy IMO. It costs 25 bucks a month and I can get a better deal for the whole family for only a little more from the ex-employer, so I declined the pediatric dental on my new Obamacare plan. The ACA pedia dental does cover ortho at 50% though and that might be a good deal. The basic plans that I saw cover adult orthodontics but not kids. Go figure.

pediatric services are part of the 10 essentials that HHS said every plan must have.
That's from the .gov site which I posted several times across several threads.

Pediatric dental and vision coverage are part of every plan.

Leave it to the Republicans to create laws which contradict other laws. What a bunch of fools.

Look at the comment I quoted from Ponderosa who said pediatric was not part of their plan and they are on Obamacare.

They don't actually expect it to go anywhere. This is a feel good bill for the public.

Have you even been on the exchange? The exchange has plans both with and without. It was a regulatory ruling that plans sold on the exchange do not have to offer pediatric dental. If you pick one without and you have people under 19 on your plan a window pops up asking you if that is really what you want. You can decline to purchase it at that point. I bought a plan without pediatric dental. You are wrong. That is all there is to it. I can't sugar coat it for you. I am getting really sick of all the righties talking about what is and what is not in the ACA plans without ever having looked at them on the exchange. And spare me the BS that the web site does not work. You would know better about that too if you actually had been using it recently.

If he 'bought' that plan, it's illegal.
