LOL..all this natural stuff was tossed aside due to heavy advertising for the
phony stuff from manufacturers.
It's not that I'm "old" but that I read a
lot and have collected some old basic cookbooks.

There are so many women
I know that can't or don't cook anymore
. It's all boxed or take out.
Why ?
Well they "have no time".

Simple food doesn't take a lot of time.
Women? What's wrong...a man can't find the kitchen?

OP...I'll comb my local supermarket aisle and buy every last food product that has this unhealthy ingredient and send it to you. Just supply a drop off address.

I'm mostly around family people where the women do the cooking.

I know my single brother eats out a lot or brings home take out.

My son though is starting to get into cooking.
I walked him over the phone on how to make a meatloaf.

I've read many stories about food banks finding basic products like flour thrown away because the underclass no longer cooks. They microwave, that's it.

This is why they're so freaking fat.

First time I showed up with a donation I had rice, bags of various beans, canned vegetables..staples kind of food. I was told that people don't want that. They want Kraft Mac and Cheese, meal cans of food like the cheese ravioli. Anything pre-packaged/ready to eat rather than staples because they didn't want staples.

Oh and they prefer National brand names over store brand names these days.

I still donated each month but I limited to two cases of canned vegetables.
I didn't get any pre-packaged ready to cook/eat food to donate.

For a while I just dropped off the food. Then I started to volunteer and saw the "clientele" and realized that they dressed better than me and could well afford to buy their own food should they so choose to.

I stopped donating food for people and turned around and donated food for animals.
Canned/bagged dog food to the shelters and bales of hay to livestock rescue farms.
I've given up on people.

Those are poisons. Fat is fat. One thing =/= the other.

Maybe you need the government to tell you what you can and cannot eat, but I don't. I'm smart enough to figure that one out all on my own.
