The government knows exactly why there's an obesity crisis in this country but you'll never hear them admit to it and the media won't report on it.
And just who is behind the FDA/USDA as far as the revolving door goes ?

Big business runs the FDA and fresh fruits and vegetables does not add to their bottom line.

What a waste of money, I don't know anybody that buys trans-fat products anymore.

Potatoes fried in olive oil are delicious.
In fact many people are going back to "lard" for cooking now.

Are eggs good for you or bad for you, what about milk, raw milk, 2 percent, 1 percent and or how many glasses of water should you really drink. Tap water or bottled water.

Food and Drug Administration protecting stupid Americans from choices and making laws to protect their existence.

But now, with the ACA, they get to dictate it.

It will get far far worse in the very very near future.

Eggs were good and then they were bad and now I think they are good for you again.

Nothing in the egg changed..just government opinions of it.

Really? I was thinking about trying to make lard soap (I know weird) a couple of years ago but I never found any lard.

They sell it in my supermarket and have for some time. It's in a box (like the size of the 4 sticks of butter box) and right next to the Crisco solid fat.

Maybe it's local and based on usage.

You can try goat's milk soap if you can't find lard. I hear that's just as good.

We always rendered lard we butcherd hogs. Especially the leaf lard. Best thing for pies ever!

Lard is not inherently bad, actually it's a combination of fats. Certainly don't want to eat deep fried foods all the time, but when properly heated and used it is just about as perfect a frying medium you can get.
