Well, there are two problems here.

1) Republicans trying to gut the program before it was approved.
2) The Republican narrative.

Both either kept this program from being what President Obama envisions it to be (if only temporarily), and distort/embellish/overly-criticize the reality.

The program is a MAJOR undertaking, which you Pubs didn't have the ability to attempt. Problems are expected and will be fixed. You Pubs can continue to complain and look like fools or you can help make this work for a change.

President Obama is again in the right here. Stand aside. He's got this.

This whole ACA deal is a clusterfxxx ! We were told all Americans would be be offered health insurance at affordable rates and subsidized if necessary and able to keep their existing policies if they liked them.

Now we find what will end up to be millions of privately paid health insurance policies being cancelled because they don't measure up to the "criteria" the government in their infinate wisdom deemed necessary. Note....your individual risk tolerence and/or personal or financial situation don't matter here....it's not your choice, but the governments as to what must be covered.

Seems we're swapping problems here......from those who were previously uninsured and will now be insured and subsidized if necessary to those who were previously privately insured and are now thrown under the bus and dropped from their policies due to governmental demands on what's covered etc...

These previously insured will of course be told they can now get "new and better" policies, of course at a higher premium. If they cannot afford this new higher premium, they of course may be offered (if you fit into government income guidelines) a premium subsidy....essentially, you'll become beholden to the state and their whims as time goes on.

I find it virtually impossible to believe (not matter how incompetent you believe Obama may or may not be) that Obama had no idea that his statement "if you like you policy you can keep it" was NOT going to be the case for millions of Americans. After all, he's the guy in charge running the show (or supposed to be anyway) and not having a clue about such a major factor means he was literally either blatantly lying, totally incompetent on this issue, or at the very least.....purposely parsing words in order to mislead the American people.

Wipe your bottom lip and answer the question, did he lie or is he partially incompetent?

If the program is soooo great then why not make it optional and see how many are willing to sign up. Let the free market decide which is better. Supply and demand right? Now would you run out to buy a used car without test driving it first because you should take the car sales man's word for it even though he lied just to get rid of it? The car was on sale for 13,500 then you get the first car payment bill for the balance of 25,500 after signing the contract realizing you've been scammed. However, in a free market you can sue the private company but if it's the goverment and the law good luck getting out of paying for it.

It's like the boy who cries wolf until no one listens to him anymore. That's what's happening right now. Yeah, he's got us convinced alright.

It all came out of HIS administration. He runs it and he owns it.
If he truly wanted to keep his promise he would have sent HHS back to redefine those 10 essential items every plan must have...a move he didn't do. That's what's causing these cancellations.

Yes, he is directly responsible.

This is what HE foisted upon the American people.

If Obamacare had been bad, but not as bad, they may have had a better chance of this being successful at this.

I think that plan has been blown apart now.

In fact...if this was such an obvious issue....why didn't everyone go ballistic a couple years ago? And be specific about it?

Where have you been?

The voices were loud then..........and no one in government or among Obama supporters listened or paid any heed to it.

There are a great many that knew he was lying all along and this is not new news to such.

Second, I think what the administration never realized was how many existing insurance policies there actually were that didn't fit the criteria set forth in the ACA and that was their huge blind spot.
