I'm sure LWNJs think Pol Pot was just misunderstood.

The younger crowd have no first hand experience..it's all history to them and pretty vague at that when you talk to young adults these days.
What they cling to is the ideals and think they can make it work.

As they say though..those that don't know their history are bound to repeat it.

Since the city of Seattle is such an important entity in our state, their stupidity can spread beyond just those who deserve to be hurt by it.

Shame on Seattle for voting for this idiot, wackjob, religious extremist.

Yeah I remember Charlie Chong. I don't believe he was Republican, but conservative in many ways. I lived in Seattle at the time, and donated to his campaign. If 'Dino' refers to Dino Rossi, he was from the East Side, not Seattle. I believe there have been zero R's elected to the state legislature from Seattle since the 1970's.

In any case, when a politician wants to bring in a system that has resulted in misery, poverty, and oppression wherever it has been tried, whether Russia, China, Korea, or Cuba, wouldn't a reaction of anger be an understandable?
Why do conservatives always forget to list any actual socialist countries like France, Netherlands or Sweden where this has not only been tried but they have proven that it works?

Pulling out a Cuba or North Korea is like using Somalia as an example of what happens when you try free market capitalism. Intentionally false and misleading, the hallmarks of modern tea party style conservatism.

If you hate the poor and middle class, vote in a Marxist wacko who is beholden to a religion of blood, theft, and misery.

It doesn't work. France is a mess. Scandinavian countries are beginning to change tact. Freedom will always trump control. Always.

Sweden is an export-oriented mixed economy.

Democrat In Name Only. John Carlson rallied Seattle and Burien Republicans to vote in the Democrat primary to get a DINO elected.
